Second Seminar on Interpretive Themes to be Presented this Thursday at Noon

As our organization plans to revisit and revise our Interpretive Themes, we are planning a series of lunchtime seminars on the themes developed for recent Interpretive Plans in our area. The second seminar in the series will be presented by Karen Theimer Brown, President and CEO of Historic Annapolis, on the themes in the Master Interpretive Plan for the Annapolis City Dock Area. Maryland Museums Association Leads Way in Advocating for Restoration of Museum Assistance Program (MAP)

In a recent meeting, the Maryland Museums Association (MMA) discussed MMA’s major priority – the return of the State's Museum Assistance Program (MAP). The state’s Museum Assistance Program grants existed from FY98 to FY12 with a peak of $2.2M in FY07 -- but some years as low as $40,000 and $127,000.
