Chesapeake Crossroads Heritage Area has two funding opportunities available each fiscal year-- while funds last! Sponsorships:  CCHA has a limited amount of funding available each fiscal year that may be used towards the sponsorship of events or collaborative initiatives planned by one or more stakeholders. We look for events or programs that foster creative collaborations among multiple heritage-related organizations to build partnerships for the benefit of our local community. Only non-profit organizations are eligible to apply, for an event or program taking place within the geographic boundaries of our heritage area....

Bates Legacy Center Quilting Project – NEW October Update

The Wiley H. Bates Legacy Center invites the public to participate in the Bates Legacy Center Story Telling Quilt Project! The Center is developing six Documentary Story Quilts as part of a project funded in part by a FY2023 Maryland Heritage Areas Authority (MHAA) Grant. Miller History Fund Grant Cycle Now Open

The Maryland Center for History and Culture (MCHC) is proud to announce the fifth grant cycle of the Thomas V. “Mike” Miller, Jr. History Fund. This competitive grant program is accepting Letters of Intent (LOIs) until November 10th.The Miller History Fund provides grants ranging from $10,000 to $20,000 that support capacity-building and collections care projects for Maryland's history museums, historical societies, and community archives.
