Sponsorships
Chesapeake Crossroads Heritage Area has a limited amount of funding available each fiscal year that may be used towards sponsorship of collaborative events, or for emergency or unanticipated expenses. Events or programs must take place within the geographic boundaries of our heritage area.
We look for events/programs that foster creative collaborations among multiple heritage-related organizations to build partnerships for the benefit of our local community. This funding is also set aside for unexpected needs, emergencies, or time-sensitive opportunities that arise outside the normal mini-grant funding cycles and warrant a rapid response.
NOTE: Sponsorships approved by Chesapeake Crossroads are usually in the $250-$500 range. Unlike the mini-grant program, matching funds are NOT required. For an event with a larger budget, please consider our Mini-Grant opportunity. Annual events are generally not eligible for recurring sponsorships, but may be considered if there is a new or unique aspect of the event from prior years or if it will rach a new audience.
Application Procedure
If your event or program meets our criteria (above), you may submit a sponsorship requests using the online sponsorship form. Please email us at grants@chesapeakecrossroads.org when you submit the application. Sponsorships are considered on a rolling basis and decisions and usually made within 5 working days.
Review Process
Our sponsorship review committee will review applications on an ongoing or rolling basis throughout the year. It may take up to two weeks for a request to be reviewed; you will be notified via e-mail. Thank you!
