Shuttered Venue Operators Grant Guidance

What's NewHere’s news some of our community members have been waiting for! Applications for the Small Business Administration’s Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) open on Thursday, April 8.

This grant provides emergency assistance for eligible venues affected by COVID-19. Eligible applicants may qualify for grants equal to 45% of their gross earned revenue, with the maximum amount available for a single grant award of $10 million. $2 billion is reserved for eligible applications with up to 50 full-time employees.

Eligible entities include:

  • Live venue operators or promoters
  • Theatrical producers
  • Live performing arts organization operators
  • Relevant museum operators, zoos and aquariums who meet specific criteria
  • Motion picture theater operators
  • Talent representatives

The Small Business Administration will be hosting a SVOG Application Informational Webinar on Tuesday, March 30 at 2:30 pm. Join the SBA as they cover what documentation eligible entities will need to apply for a SVOG, insight on what the SVOG application process will look like and more.
