Shuttered Venue Operators Grant Guidance

Here's news some of our community members have been waiting for! Applications for the Small Business Administration's Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) open on Thursday, April 8. This grant provides emergency assistance for eligible venues affected by COVID-19. Eligible applicants may qualify for grants equal to 45% of their gross earned revenue, with the maximum amount available for a single grant award of $10 million. $2 billion is reserved for eligible applications with up to 50 full-time employees. Announcing the FY2022 Application Round for the African American Heritage Preservation Program

Applications will be available Thursday, April 1, 2021 and will be due July 1, 2021. About the African American Heritage Preservation Program The African American Heritage Preservation Program (AAHPP) provides grants to assist in the preservation of buildings, sites, or communities of historical and cultural importance to the African American experience in Maryland. The AAHPP is administered as a partnership between the Maryland Historical Trust (MHT) and the Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture (MCAAHC). Maryland State Arts Council Emergency Grant Applications Now Open

With the passage of the RELIEF Act of 2021 by the Maryland General Assembly, the Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC) will distribute $5 million through its Emergency Grant Program. Created in March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 State of Emergency, Emergency Grants provide funding to arts organizations and artists for losses sustained because of programming, operations, and events that have been modified or cancelled.
