Maryland Heritage Areas Authority to Hold Virtual Hearing on Four Rivers Boundary Amendment

MHAA to Hold a Virtual Hearing on proposed amendment to the boundaries of the Four Rivers (Annapolis, London Town, and South County) Heritage Area

Later this month, the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority (MHAA) will hold a virtual public hearing on our organization’s application to amend and enlarge the officially-designated boundaries of our Heritage Area. This is a requirement for all amendments to Certified Heritage Area (CHA) boundaries.

The hearing will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. and will include a request to enlarge the boundaries of the current heritage area to include an additional buffer to existing boundaries; a North County African American Trail; a Mid-County Cluster; a Jug Bay Cluster; recreational trails; and additional heritage tourism sites throughout Anne Arundel County.

The hearing will be held virtually via YouTube live stream. Interested parties will have an opportunity to submit written testimony to staff for the record until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Due to  telework requirements, all submissions should be sent via email to [email protected]. If you are unable to submit your testimony via email, the address for MHAA is:
