Two Organizations in the Heritage Area Receive African American Heritage Preservation Grants

The Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture (MCAAHC) and the Maryland Historical Trust (MHT) have awarded thirteen African American Heritage Preservation Program (AAHPP) grants totaling $1,000,000 to Maryland nonprofit groups for FY22. Four Rivers Eighteenth Annual Heritage Awards Ceremony Recognizes Excellence and Marks 20th Anniversary

This event also celebrated the organization's Twentieth Anniversary of its certification as one of Maryland's first Heritage Areas, in October of 2001. Nine Mini-Grants Awarded to Organizations in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County

Four Rivers Heritage Area is pleased to announce nine new Mini-Grant awards to local heritage-related nonprofit organizations as part of our FY22 Mini-Grant opportunity. The grants awarded this fall totaled $28,000 for overall projects of $264,964.
