Mr. Paca’s Garden Storytime: “Thankful”

  • Date: Tuesday, November 15
  • Time: Program, 10 – 11 am; Garden Time, 11 – 11:30 am

  • Host Organization: Historic Annapolis

Join Historic Annapolis on select Tuesday mornings for storytime and fun activities in the William Paca Garden, a secret treasure in the Historic District of Annapolis. Each program is designed for little ones (3-7 years) with a book reading, song, craft/art project, and free time in the garden.

This Week’s Book: Thankful by Eileen Spinelli

The theme is “Thankfulness and Gratitude.” What does thankfulness and gratitude mean? What are some of the blessings that we take for granted? Thankful celebrates the everyday blessings we find in our lives. Practice thankfulness and observe the wonderful acts of service that keep us going. Visit Mr. Paca’s Garden for a fun-filled fall scavenger hunt!

Cost: $10 per Child and $5 per Adult for General Admission; $8 per Child and Free for Adults for HA Members and Active Military; $5 per Child and Free for Adults for Family Circle Members.

Jane Austen Tour

  • Date: Wednesday, November 16
  • Time: 2:00-3:30 pm
  • Location: Hammond-Harwood House, 19 Maryland Ave, Annapolis
  • Host Organization: Hammond-Harwood House

Participants will enjoy a 90-minute guided tour of the house that compares the customs and social graces of the Loockerman family, who lived in the Hammond-Harwood House in the early 19th century, with those of characters in Jane Austen novels.

Make it extra special with Tea and a Tour! Hammond- Harwood House is proud to partner with Reynold’s Tavern of Annapolis. Reynold’s Taverns offers an extensive afternoon tea menu – a perfect pairing to enjoy before or after the Jane Austen Tour. Tours and tea are booked separately. Price: $12, Members: $10.

AACPL Family Story Time

  • Date: Thursday, November 17
  • Time: 3:00-3:30 pm
  • Location: Historic London Town and Gardens, 839 Londontown Road, Edgewater
  • Host Organization: Historic London Town and Gardens

London Town welcomes Anne Arundel County Public Library!​

Families with young children enjoy a variety of stories, songs, rhymes, and movement activities. Build early literacy skills and enjoy the beautiful sound and sensory garden at historic London Town in Edgewater, MD.​ This program is free and no admission fee will be charged.
