Grant Funding Available for Heritage Tourism Projects Across Maryland! The Maryland Heritage Areas Program Encourages Economic Development Through Heritage Tourism Grants. The Maryland Heritage Areas Authority (MHAA), an independent state entity under the Maryland Department of Planning, is accepting applications for FY23 grants under the Maryland Heritage Areas Grant Program. Two Organizations in the Heritage Area Receive African American Heritage Preservation Grants

The Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture (MCAAHC) and the Maryland Historical Trust (MHT) have awarded thirteen African American Heritage Preservation Program (AAHPP) grants totaling $1,000,000 to Maryland nonprofit groups for FY22. Nine Mini-Grants Awarded to Organizations in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County

Four Rivers Heritage Area is pleased to announce nine new Mini-Grant awards to local heritage-related nonprofit organizations as part of our FY22 Mini-Grant opportunity. The grants awarded this fall totaled $28,000 for overall projects of $264,964. The MHAA Program Administrator, Jennifer Ruffner, has let us know that MHAA staff seek new members for the MHAA Grant Review Panel for the coming year's grant round.
