Do you like old maps? If you do, you’ll want to visit the GHS Museum on Sunday, September 18th  2-4 pm. On display will be the Hopkins 1878 atlas of Anne Arundel County with a 24 x 15 inch map of each of the districts. It’s a great way to see how much the county has changed from its more rural past to its more suburban present. COME JOIN FAMILY AND NEIGHBORS FOR AN ICE CREAM SOCIAL Following CDC guidelines, the Ice Cream Social will be held outside on the museum grounds. Lots of space to spread out and enjoy. Galesville Heritage Society hosts a fun fall festival and pie contest! 

The Galesville Heritage Society's 2018 Speaker Series continues. Last year's presentations on Bay Wise Gardening was a great success and this year the Galesville Heritage Society will follow up with more about good gardening practices and plants and trees that are just right for Galesville.

The Galesville Heritage Society 2018 Speaker Series begins with members of the village sharing their memories of the James Adams Floating Theater. Before TV or driving to the movies, the annual visit of the showboat brought music and theater to the residents of West River.

The Annual Galesville Heritage Society sponsored 4th of July Parade will kick off at 1:00 PM on Thursday the 4th of July.  All are invited to attend for free. For watching comfort, bring towels or chairs to sit on. Or, come and be part of the parade.  Everyone who is part of a sports team,  a scout troop, church group, classic car owner, or fire engine company is invited to march or to decorate bicycles, or to build a float and join in the fun.
