Families are invited to the mansion for a morning of holiday stories and crafts as celebrated in the Hammond-Harwood House. Children will enjoy story-time in the holiday-décor of our elegant ballroom. After stories, children will be invited to our activity classroom to create holiday decorations and learn some early Christmas traditions. Tickets are required for children; an accompanying adult is free. Ages 4 and up. Price: $15 | Members: $10

Explore the Hammond-Harwood House’s collection of nine elaborate clocks from the 17th, 18th, and early 19th centuries. The tour begins with an in-depth history of timekeeping from sundials to Chinese water clocks. The invention of the pendulum in the 17th century modernized horological devices and a rising artisan class created clocks for elite and middle-class markets as consumer demand expanded.
