Learn about the various foods that sustained Marylanders in the early days of settlement through to the 18th century with distinctions being made for class, wealth, race, and time-period. Virtual Lecture – Finding the Maryland 400: Maryland’s First Heroes

Owen Lourie chronicles the story of the Maryland 400, the soldiers from Maryland who saved George Washington's army at the Battle of Brooklyn in August 1776. This talk describes their actions, including their famous last stand against the British. It also follows the lives of some of the soldiers after the war.
