All during a winter night snowflakes begin to twist and turn as they softly fell to the ground. In the morning light, the animals notice a silent stranger with a floppy-eared hat and a carrot nose. Why has he come to the forest? As we read Stranger in the Woods, we will join the animals as they discover the reason for his visit. Songs, crafts, and a snack will reinforce the theme. A rare opportunity to step beyond a classic guided house tour awaits. Every second Wednesday this fall, visitors will peek behind closed doors, explore unique features in the extensive grounds, and discover hidden details and stories. This experience transcends the content of the standard house tours and is ideal for those who love the William Paca House and are intrigued to delve deeper into the site’s long and rich history. Lights, garland, action! Historic downtown Annapolis shops throw open their doors in a glorified block party that’s open to all. Enjoy outside musical performances as well as food and refreshments at many stores as you stroll along Main Street, Maryland Avenue, Inner West Street, and State Circle in search of that perfect gift. To enhance the experience, the first block of Main Street will be closed to traffic for the first time this year. Sponsored by the Downtown Annapolis Partnership.
