Weather It Together: Protecting Maryland’s Historic Buildings from Floods

The workshop will cover how to plan for nuisance flooding and flood events, discuss professional perspectives on flood mitigation and adaptation, and share tools and resources that you can use in your own community. The full program is available online. Local planners, emergency management personnel, historic preservation organizations and interested citizens are encouraged to attend. The deadline to register is May 18, 2017. Registration fee of $20 is payable at the door and will cover a light breakfast, lunch and coffee for the day.

Annapolis Memorial Day Parade

The parade will follow the traditional route with staging at Amos Garrett Blvd. It will proceed down West Street to Church Circle and down Main Street to City Dock. It will be followed by an annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Susan Campbell Park. It’s an excellent opportunity to pay our respects to the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
