Winter Lecture Series

Winter Lecture: M. Stephen Ailstock, Ph.D.
Dr. Ailstock will discuss the many techniques used to propagate Bay grasses that were pioneered by the Environmental Center at Anne Arundel Community College, as well as the evolution and ecological roles of submersed aquatic plants. He will outline propagation strategies and growth requirements for the plants and discuss the restoration efforts for and future of underwater grasses.
The 2019 Winter Lecture Series at the Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park will be held on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. from January 10 to February 28. You will be challenged to question and to learn by engaging speakers on eight diverse topics including maritime history, local history, science and maritime art.
