Special Lecture – From Virginia Hall to Virginia d’Albert-Lake: How Two American Women Aided the Allies in WWII

To celebrate National Women’s History Month, Historic Annapolis is proud to present bestselling novelist Erika Robuck, who will discuss the real protagonists of her recent novels featuring American women in the Resistance in WWII. Baltimore’s own Virginia Hall Goillot, a member of Maryland’s Women’s Hall of Fame, and Floridian Virginia Roush d’Albert-Lake are just two of the many American women involved in the war effort whose stories are so remarkable they seem too unbelievable to be true.

A book signing will follow the lecture. Attendees may purchase The Invisible Woman at the time of registration. Attendees may also add on a luncheon option, as well as a private tour of the Museum of Historic Annapolis after the luncheon, where we will highlight outstanding women in our City’s history and learn more about Annapolitan women of distinction at Annapolis: An American Story.
