Earth Day by the Bay

Join Annapolis Maritime Museum and Park on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay for a family-friendly Earth Day affair!
Visit Back Creek Nature Park to enjoy the great outdoors and celebrate the environment. Engage with nature through the crafts, activities, and games designed by our award-winning education team:
- Recycling | Investigate a trash timeline, compete in the Recycling Relay, make an “upcycled” t-shirt bag
- Pollination | Plant a flower, learn how bees pollinate, play a pollination game
- Kayak Rides | Explore the water of Back Creek by kayak
- Water Heath | Watershed model activity, wade in the water with nets to see what types of animals live in Back Creek
Don’t forget to wrap up your Earth Day experience with a delicious cup of “dirt” or a cool snow cone!
As a special treat, Guava Jelly will put on a fun, family concert beginning at 3:30 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket so you can relax and listen to their reggae-inspired beats just steps from the water.
All ages welcome and adults are free. Kids should dress for play! Tickets will be available at the door. AMMP Members: $5; Non-Members: $7
