Celtic Weekend

Celebrate our Celtic heritage all weekend! London Town had a significant Scottish population during the colonial period. Even William Brown (who built London Town’s William Brown House, c.1760) is believed to be an immigrant from Scotland.

Enjoy live music with Tweedsyde (Sunday) and the Devil’s Tailors (Saturday).

Check out black powder demonstrations, hearth cooking with the Appin Regiment, and woodworking with Seneca Creek Joinery.

The Robert Burns Society of Annapolis wearing kilts and sashes, showing examples of tartan, and doing a poetry reading by Burns. ​

Appin Regiment and The Scottish-Gaelic School of Baltimore will performing a waulking demonstration. The Scottish-Gaelic School of Baltimore will give an introduction to Scottish Gaelic in their Language Village.
