On Sunday, April 2, the Galesville Community Center presented the program, “Stories That Matter in South County,” as part of the 16th Annual Maryland Day Celebration in the Chesapeake Crossroads Heritage Area.

The program included presentations by Lyndra Marshall and C. Jane Cox, the recognition of community honorees by Vincent Moulden (representing County Executive Steuart Pittman), as well as the video presentation, “Stories That Matter in South County During the Civil Rights Era” with numerous oral histories by community storytellers.
