The Crownsville Hospital Memorial Park is an exciting new County initative that invites YOUR feedback and ideas! On Tuesday, June 27, the County held a Town Hall about the future of the Park that was well-attended and attracted lots of ideas already! To listen to the Town Hall meeting recording below.

County Overview:
What Do We Own Now?
- Full Parcel: Approximately 500 acres containing 76 structures
- Maryland Environmental Trust Easement: Approximately 160 acres
- Maryland Historic Trust Easement: Approximately 20 acres surrounding the core historic building complex comprised of 10 structures, all property development will be reviewed but limits on what we can do for these structures
- Current Major Tenants: Food Bank, Gaudenzia, Hope House
- Water Utilities: Water treatment facility, drilled wells, two 250,000 gallon elevated water storage tanks, and a distribution network
- Wastewater Utilities: Wastewater treatment facility and collection network
What Have We Done?
- Property transferred from The State of Maryland to Anne Arundel County in December 2022
- Rewriting leases with existing tenants
- Initial clean up activities to include: road repairs, stormwater repairs, added signage
- Addressing security issues
- Artifact collection/recording
- Master plan consultant procurement
- Assessments of structures, electrical infrastructure, and water & sewer utilities
- Environmental site assessments (ESAs)

- Patient Cemetery Memorial
- Trail access connection to the Bacon Ridge Natural Area
