Annearrundell County Free School Open House

Annearrundell County Free School Museum 1298 LaVall Drive, Davidsonville, MD

In 1723 the Maryland Colonial Assembly passed the Free School Act which established the building of a school in each of the twelve existing counties using tax payer money.  It is believed that the Annearrundell County Free School in Davidsonville is the only structure from that time period still standing.  The one-room schoolhouse is operated by members of the Anne Arundel Retired School Personnel Association (AARSPA). There will be an Open House on July 8, 2023 and on July 9, 2023 from 1:00-4:00 pm.  Docents from AARSPA will be available...
