Support the Chesapeake Crossroads Heritage Area With Your End-Of-Year Donation!

This holiday season, we ask you to include the Chesapeake Crossroads Heritage Area in your year-end giving. We thank you for investing in our mission-driven efforts to protect and strengthen the natural, historic, and cultural resources of our heritage area, to nurture their discovery through educational and recreational experiences for visitors and residents, and to promote the region’s rich legacy, and we ask for your continued support via a donation before the year’s end.

As an example of our impact, we recently awarded twelve new Mini-Grants to local heritage-related nonprofit organizations. The grants awarded in October 2023 totaled $29,500 for overall projects of $209,508. We prioritize projects that foster Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility. These projects connect our heritage partners’ projects with the wider community. This year, to stretch our support, we used $4,500 in local donations to achieve this level of impact and reach! We could not have done this without you, our stakeholders.

In 2023, we have continued sponsorships of local organizations’ worthy programs. We were a sponsor of the annual Annapolis Juneteenth Celebration, of the lecture series developed by the Friends of Historic Linthicum Walks, of the Port Marker Ceremony at Historic London Town and Gardens, and of the Holiday Maker Mart at Chesapeake Arts Center.

With your continued support we will work to enable our trusted and vetted local heritage related non-profit organization partners to create new programs, products, activities, and events that build upon heritage-based interpretive themes, foster collaborative partnerships, and enhance local cultural historic resources and heritage tourism.
