On Tuesday, October 29, Chesapeake Crossroads Heritage Area hosted its Twenty-First Annual Heritage Awards event. Heritage awards recognize individuals, organizations, programs and achievements that contribute to our community by interpreting, promoting, preserving, researching and/or supporting our historical legacy.
The honorees for this year’s ceremony were:
HERITAGE TOURISM PRODUCT OF THE YEAR AWARD – “Civil Rights Guide for Annapolis and Anne Arundel County,” Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County and Partners
HERITAGE VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD, ANNAPOLIS – Robert Biddle, Hammond-Harwood House
HERITAGE VOLUNTEERS OF THE YEAR AWARD, ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY – Martha and Leo Black, Galesville Heritage Society
HERITAGE PARTNERSHIP AWARD — United States Marine Corps Historical Company and Historic London Town and Gardens
HERITAGE PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR AWARD – Jamie Foster, Watermark
HERITAGE INTERPRETER OF THE YEAR AWARD – Frederick Taylor, Watermark and City of Annapolis
