Play a Part in the 2020 “Annapolis Ahead” Comprehensive Plan

Were you able to attend the “Annapolis Ahead” Comprehensive Virtual Update on Tuesday evening? If so, you’ll know there’s still time to play your part and make your voice heard in planning for the future of Annapolis. And for history and heritage practitioners, defining our place in the future of our community is critical.

You can help shape the direction of this year’s Comprehensive Plan by sharing your opinions on the topics of Redevelopment and Mobility through public surveys. The surveys will be available until the end of this year, 2020, please share with others who might want to participate!

Redevelopment Preference Survey

As Annapolis continues to be an attractive place to live, it is anticipated that many of the city’s older commercial areas will be redeveloped over time to accommodate new retail options, new housing options, and potentially other types of mixed use development. As part of the Annapolis Ahead Comprehensive Plan update, the City of Annapolis would like your feedback on what types of new development and redevelopment you feel would be most appropriate in Annapolis over the next 10 to 20 years to best serve its residents and mesh with the city’s existing urban fabric. City staff would also like to know where you think the redevelopment should occur using the map feature at the end of the survey.

Mobility Survey

Among the most pressing issues facing Annapolis are mobility and redevelopment concerns. Transportation issues are a critical piece of the Annapolis Ahead Comprehensive Plan. Complete the brief mobility survey and sharing with us your experiences moving around Annapolis. The responses received will be used to shape future projects, programs, and transportation services undertaken by the City.
