July 10: The Maryland Office of Tourism Development today announced the publication of a new travel guide and related web content for Maryland’s Year of Civil Rights. The printed civil rights guide includes a map of sites around the state where protests and sit-ins took place, where court cases were fought and where people gained access to public amenities. New civil rights web content includes detailed location information on the sites listed in the printed piece, theme-based travel itineraries that provide in-depth information for visitors, and biographies of Marylanders who made an impact during the Civil Rights Movement.
