DESCRIPTION:Join us Saturday\, September 21st\, at 2PM as we welcome Hansel Hill Farm and The Queen’s Honey for the next installment of our Tavern Talk & Tour Series. \nBrian and Vickie established Hansel Hill Farm in October 2019 with two acres of land and a dream. These first generation farmers will talk about farming\, beekeeping and the importance of taking care of bees and the products they produce. Learn how they are able to grow a variety of fruits and vegetables through micro-farming. \nKim Mehalick is an EAS certified master Beekeeper and certified soap maker.  She and her husband Mike\, started beekeeping in 2012\, and now run about 100 hives in six apiary locations in PG and AA counties for The Queen’s Honey.  Kim also makes the soaps\, lotions and beeswax candles for the business\, while still mentoring and teaching new beekeepers throughout the state. \nEnjoy a honey sampling and taste a variety of honey and hear about the hives they raise.  Honey varieties and sampler sets will also be available for purchase directly from Hansel Hill Farms and The Queen’s Honey.  Other products of the hive will also be available.  Light refreshments and a tour of the Inn will follow the presentation. \nTo avoid online service fees\, email ContactUs@RisingSunInn.Org for alternative payment methods.\nNO REFUNDS After September 18th at 5PM

Also included is a stop inside historic Hogshead\, where you will be immersed in the tales of those living in Annapolis during the Revolutionary War. Listen to stories of spirits that linger in the mist\, and explore one of Annapolis’ best-known cemeteries. Special Historic Hauntings takes you back to a time of superstition and legend. DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, October 5 from 9 AM to 2 PM\, the Odenton Heritage Society will open its doors for the town’s annual celebration of Odenton Day\, a joint effort by the Odenton Heritage Society\, Inc.\, Odenton Volunteer Fire Company\, the Greater Odenton Improvement Association\, and the Central Maryland Chamber. \nBeginning at 10 AM\, OHS will offer free\, round trip\, guided tours by shuttle bus from the OVFC Firehouse located at 1425 Annapolis Road\, to the OHS Historical Center at 1367 Odenton Road. The tour will pass through Odenton’s historic area and include three sites on the National Register of Historic Places. At the OHS Historical Center visitors will have the opportunity to learn why Odenton is called “The Town the Railroads Built” while touring our museum and view a video presentation titled “A Trip to Annapolis on the WB&A Electric Railroad.” \nActivities at the Odenton Firehouse will include fire related demonstrations\, music\, dancing and entertainment\, activities for kids and displays by West County organizations and businesses. There will be free hot dogs\, chips and drinks. \nAdmission to all activities is free. Please plan on visiting us at both locations.
