Virtual Lecture – The Women of the Cryptologic Hall of Honor

March 19 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

In 1999, the National Security Agency and Central Security Service (NSA/CSS) established the Cryptologic Hall of Honor “to pay special tribute to the pioneers and heroes who rendered distinguished service to American cryptology.” As of 2023, 111 individuals, and occasionally groups, have received this highly select and competitive honor.

In honor of Women’s History Month, historian Brenda McIntire of the Center for Cryptologic History will introduce us to the 17 women in the Cryptologic Hall of Honor. Taken together, these women represent a variety of backgrounds, generations, and cryptologic specialties. Individually, each brings a compelling story of talent, determination, and service to the nation. Please join us for an introduction to the remarkable women of the Cryptologic Hall of Honor.

Registration required. Registration closes one half-hour prior to lecture.

Cost: $15 per household for General Admission; $10 per household for HA Members, Military, and HA Docents
