CANCELLED Virtual Lecture – The Archaeology of Providence: The “Lost Town” that Became Annapolis

February 6 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Did you know that Annapolis was originally located on the other side of the Severn River? Known as Providence, the English settlement was established in 1649 near Greenbury Point. Join Andrew Webster, archaeologist with the Lost Towns Project, who will share what archaeology has revealed about the first colonial settlement in Anne Arundel County — one would later become the Capital of Maryland.

Registration required. Registration closes one half hour prior to lecture.

Cost: $15 per household for General Admission; $10 per household for Military; FREE for HA Members and HA Docents
