Virtual Lecture – Exploring the Architectural History of Murray Hill

May 21 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

HA’s Vice President of Preservation, Rachel Robinson, will provide an overview and insights into the interesting development of Murray Hill. The neighborhood was first plated in 1890 on part of a 256-acre tract, providing opportunities for a multitude of architectural styles—described in the Architecture in Annapolis: A Field Guide as “a veritable United Nations of early 20th-century revival-style architecture.”

This presentation will introduce tips for identifying the variety of styles and provide the histories and preservation success stories of several homes. Additionally, the first two Historic Markers outside the local historic district that are part of our new “little” marker program will be revealed, and property owners will learn how to apply to the program.

Registration required. Registration closes one half hour prior to lecture.
