The Hammond Harwood House is home to one of Maryland’s oldest domestic clocks. Attributed to clockmaker John Ebsworths, this remarkable clock was made between 1660 and 1680. Constructed before the use of a pendulum was widespread, it was modified to keep up with horological advances of the time.
