World War II Remembrance Day at the Odenton Heritage Society
The Odenton Heritage Society will observe the 80th anniversary of D-Day on Sunday, June 2 with a display about Odenton residents who fought in Europe during World War II. From a B-24 bomber pilot to D-Day plus 6 and the liberation of France, the first Army unit into Germany, and the Battle of the Bulge, Odenton citizens helped defeat the Nazi regime and restore freedom and human rights to European nations. Visitors are encouraged to bring family photos and objects pertaining to World War II participants for photography and preservation in the OHS digital archives. The OHS Historical Center is located at 1367 Odenton Road. Admission is free, and hours are from 1 pm to 4 pm.
