Maryland History and Culture Collaborative

October 21st, 10am | Virtual

You are invited to join us for the 2025 meeting of the Maryland History and Culture Collaborative. An immense amount of important and fascinating cultural heritage work is happening across the state.

This fall’s meeting will focus on the powerful connections between history and the present, how we address situations where restoration of an important site is not an option, and what reparations can be made. MDHCC is a space to share experiences, build connections, and find ways to collaborate that push the boundaries of our work forward. We would be honored to have you join us for these discussions.

This year’s meeting will be facilitated by: Britney Pollard The 1856 Project’s Reparative Histories and Social Justice (RHSJ) Research Incubator Elizabeth Paul Western Maryland Room, Washington County Free Library and Friends of Halfway African American Cemetery

MDHCC is an informal gathering of individuals from throughout Maryland whose personal and professional interests include the acquisition, preservation, management of and public access to collections and sites related to Maryland history and culture. Our goals are to facilitate collaboration and communication in order to better serve both our communities, organizations, and institutions and to keep open lines of communication between institutions of all types and sizes.
