History ‘Round the Hearth: Pickles

In this program, you’ll learn the history behind a popular colonial food and try your hand at making it.
What do you do when it’s too hot to cook but you need to preserve the summer harvest? You make pickles! Join us as we learn pickling methods from the colonial era.
Participants must be 8+; children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Ingredients: cucumbers, salt, various spices (list available upon request).
