Histories Revealed: Archaeological Talks at the Woodlawn History Center

January 4 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Jim Gibb, head of the Environmental Archaeology Lab, gives a free, one-hour illustrated presentation highlighting different aspects of archaeological research at SERC or elsewhere.

Before or after the presentation we hope you’ll visit the exhibits in the Woodlawn History Center, the oldest house in the Smithsonian collection still in its original location.

January 4th Topic: Maryland on the Eve of the Seven Years’ War

This is the first in a series of monthly talks that will examine the road to independence. The illustrated presentation will offer a glimpse of life in Maryland on the eve of the Seven Years’ War, better known in the U.S. as the French & Indian War.
