Hands-On History Day: Miniatures

Visit the Museum of Historic Annapolis on the second Sunday of every month for Hands-On History Days. Drop in any time during event hours for special family activities – a new theme each month means you and your family will want to visit again and again! Activities are included with Museum admission.

In October, drop by the Museum and learn about portrait miniatures.  Long before “selfies,” these mini-portraits were given as tokens of loyalty, friendship and love.   

• Learn more about these charming mini masterpieces and view some special miniatures in our Curator’s Corner – including a “Lovers Eye.” 
• Create your own delightful miniature portrait. 
• Explore the Museum and discover the many stories of our historic city shared throughout Annapolis: An American Story. 
• Read stories about famous painters in our Anne Arundel County Public Library Book Nook. 

Cost: $7 General Admission (8+) ; FREE for Children 7 and under, HA Members, and SNAP/WIC through the Museums for All program
