Gertrude Makell Sign Dedication and Hot Sox Field Award Ceremony

Please join County Executive Steuart Pittman and Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks on Friday, May 31st at 3:00pm, as we remember and honor the dedication of Galesville community leader Gertrude Makell, and celebrate a special award for the Hot Sox Field Restoration that the Galesville Community Center Organization helped make possible. Her leadership and efforts helped to restore Wilson Park and keep the legacy of the Hot Sox alive. The Department is honored to formally recognize ‘Gertrude’s Way’ as a key connection between Recreation and Parks and the Galesville Community.
