Join Anne Arundel County for the dedication and unveiling of the Say My Name Memorial on Wednesday, June 25th at 11am. The memorial will recognize over 1,700 individuals who lived and died at Crownsville State Hospital between 1912 and 1965. Many were buried without names, identified only by numbers.
Thanks to the work of Janice Hayes-Williams and the Friends of Crownsville Patient Cemetery those names have been recovered and will be publicly acknowledged. This event marks the installation of a permanent memorial that lists the names of those buried in the cemetery.
