Celebrate Maryland Emancipation

The Emancipation Proclamation went into effect on January 1, 1863, but Emancipation in Maryland did not happen until November 1, 1864.
Join the Banneker-Douglass Museum to celebrate Maryland Emancipation Day for a fun-filled day that includes Arts and Crafts Workshops, Scavenger Hunt, Goodie Bags, and Docent Guided Tours.
