October 11, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Celebrate American Archives Month this October with the Maryland State Archives.

Guest Speaker, John Emond
Civil War Voices from the National Archives and Personal Collections

John Emond, an antique collector and retired NASA program manager, will give a presentation on letters and documents written about and by Civil War soldiers, both Union and Confederate using their “voices”.   The voices are dramatic, humorous, and poignant, and include several Maryland letters written by soldiers and civilians. Feel free to bring your lunch and your questions to this public event. This program is free, but please email emily.squires@maryland.gov in advance to reserve your spot.

All guests of the Archives must be prepared to show a government photo ID prior to entry.
