Ben Ross’ Homeplace, Harriet Tubman Birthplace Archeology
Join archaeologist Dr. Julie Schablitsky as she presents the discovery of Harriet Tubman’s father’s home and a neighboring enslaved quarter in Maryland’s Eastern Shore wetlands. Drawing on artifacts and historical documents, she reconstructs the lives of Ben Ross, his family,
and their community, showing how they endured and resisted the brutal realities of slavery.
