Ann Arrundell County Historical Society has generously agreed to allow FHD Forensics to hold a small gathering at Benson-Hammond House to announce the identity of a young AAC boy killed in the Revolutionary War in 1780.
After enlisting at the young age of 13-15, our young hero spent 3 years in the Northern Theater before dying in one of the bloodiest battles of the Revolution at Camden, South Carolina. His remains were rescued from erosion and relic hunting in 2022, along with those of 13 other men. He was given a full military funeral and reburial yet his headstone has remained “Unknown.”
FHD Forensics has recently uncovered his identity using a tiny sample of his DNA and will introduce him to his closest relatives in the shadow of his boyhood home on June 18. He is unknown no more.
