On Thursday, January 17, Four Rivers presented a workshop entitled, "Improving the Visitor Experience for Visitors with Physical Disabilities," which took place at the Annapolis Maritime Museum in Eastport. The speakers at the workshop included Marian Vessels, former Director of the Mid-Atlantic ADA Center; Caleb Berkemeier, Training Specialist at the Mid-Atlantic ADA Center; and Meredith Peruzzi, Manager and Curator at the Gallaudet University Museum. DEADLINE EXTENDED! New deadline for student submissions to the competition is October 6! This year celebrates the bicentennial of Frederick Douglass' birth, and celebrations continue around the state and the nation. As part of the planning efforts, the Northern Arundel Cultural Preservation Society (NACPS) took the lead in organizing partners and sponsors for a county-wide "Anne Arundel Creative Arts Competition Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Frederick Douglass," also known as the FD200 Creative Arts Competition.
