Second Annual Juneteenth Celebration Set for June 18 in City of Annapolis

The Annapolis Juneteenth Planning Committee and the City of Annapolis are hosting the second annual Juneteenth celebration with a VIP Reception and Awards Ceremony on Friday, June 17 and a parade and festival on Saturday, June 18. Additional MHAA Grant Funding Supports Local Maritime Museum

The Assistant Administrator of the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority (MHAA), Andrew Arivzu, has notified Chesapeake Crossroads Heritage Area that an eleventh grant has been awarded in our heritage area in FY2022. Reserve List funding in the amount of $40,000 has been awarded to Annapolis Maritime Museum for its project, "Outdoor Exhibits: An Extension of 'Our Changing Waterfront'." This brings the total of MHAA support to the heritage area to $454,039 for FY2022. Up Rigging Maritime Festival Coming to City Dock in Annapolis

The City of Annapolis will play host to the Annapolis Up Rigging Maritime Festival at City Dock May 13 to 15, 2022.
