Armel-Leftwich Visitor Center

The Visitor Center is the first stop on a visit to the undergraduate College of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps. Information Specialists welcome visitors to view the 13-minute film, The Call to Serve, and to take a guided walking or a driving GEM tour with a professional, certified guide. Tours include information on the history and architecture of the Naval Academy and a peek into the life of a midshipman.

The Visitor Center is conveniently located inside USNA Gate 1 at Prince George and Randall Streets in downtown Annapolis. Everyone 18 and older must have a photo ID. Only vehicles with USNA IDs, DoD stickers or handicapped tags may enter Naval Academy grounds. Non U.S. Citizens must show a valid passport.

The USNA Gift Shop inside the Center provides visitors with an official United States Naval Academy shopping experience. All proceeds from the sale of tours and merchandise benefit Brigade of Midshipmen activities.

Walking Tour Rates for the Naval Academy Guide Services are as follows:
Adults $14, Seniors (62+) $13, Student (K-12) $12, Preschool Free
Active or Retired Military (must show a military ID) $10.00
GEM Driving Tours $35 per person
Walking Tours are 90 minutes in duration, GEM Tours are 75 minutes in
duration.

Virtual Experiences:

The U.S. Naval Academy offers a variety of virtual tours, including a tour of the Naval Academy Chapels and a tour of the Naval Academy Cemetery on Hospital Point. The Naval Academy’s YouTube page provides videos about how it prepares young men and women to become professional officers of competence, character, and compassion in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
