Mayo Beach Park

About:

Mayo Beach Park is located in Edgewater, MD situated at the mouth of the South River, with views of the Thomas Point Lighthouse. This small multi-use park provides public water access seven days a week for those wishing to canoe, kayak, or participate in windsports. It is also open for swimming during the summer and is rentable for weddings and events during the spring and fall.

For those wishing to swim during the summer, please note Mayo Beach now requires a pass for entry on all public open days. To obtain a pass please visit https://yourpassnow.com/ParkPass/parks/aaco/park/mayo. Passes are free. See website for more information. 

Public Open Days:

Summer Hours: May 29th through August 28th

Fridays 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Saturdays and Sundays 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

 

Fall Hours: 

Labor Day Monday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Sundays in September 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Car Top Launch (Canoe/Kayak)

7 days a week: 7 a.m. – Sunset
