About:

Chesapeake Arts Center (CAC) is a 58,000 sq. ft. multi-disciplinary arts center located in Northern Anne Arundel County, just inside the Baltimore beltway.  CAC serves more than 50,000 visitors a year from around the region through arts education classes and workshops, performances, exhibits, and events supporting our mission to “inspire joy, creativity, and collaboration within our community.”

 

CAC is home to two theaters – a 752-seat performance space and a 120-seat Black Box theater – a professional gallery, a ceramics lab, dance studios, music room, the Michael Stanley MakerSpace, and other art studio classrooms. Theaters are available for rental year-round and are open for scheduled CAC performances and partner organization presentations.

 

Visit the CAC web site to find upcoming classes, exhibits, workshops, or performances. CAC also offers a variety of art kits for pick up (with on-line virtual lessons) for families and students of all ages to be creative at home safely.

 

Hours of Operation:

Monday-Thursday, 10 am to 6 pm; Saturday, 10 am to 3 pm. (Closed Fridays for remote work through Fall 2021.)

 

Classes take place Monday-Thursday, between 10 am and 9 pm; and Saturdays. 10 am to 3 pm. (Class dates and times vary by season).

 

Cost of Entry:

Cost for programs vary but include free workshops; reasonably priced tuition-based classes; free and ticketed performances.
