The Benson-Hammond House, built in 1820, is a nearly two acre historic property that includes a farm museum run by the Ann Arrundell County Historical Society. It is the only remaining example of the many family farms that once thrived in the area, and were on the original site of the Friendship International Airport, now BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport. Volunteer docents will explain the history of the house and the people that lived and worked on the land. New themed exhibits and displays are regularly updated. Check the website for the schedule of Craft Fairs, Summer Fest, and regular concerts.
Hours of Operation
Open the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month from March through November. 11:00am until 3:00 PM. Also open for special events. Available for private tours.
