Beachwood Park

8320 Beachwood Park Road
Pasadena, MD 21122

This natural area in Pasadena is part of the County Recreation and Parks portfolio, but in the 1950s, it was advertised as “Maryland’s finest inter-racial beach and amusement park.”

Located near the head waters of the Magothy River, the park is open to visitors.  Take a hike, launch your kayak, or just enjoy nature.

Learn more about the Beechwood Park story by exploring the Civil Rights Guide to Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.  (see page 11!)
