Are you interested in making repairs or improvements to a historic property? Plan to attend a webinar or in-person workshop to learn about the application process, deadlines, and more. Maryland Historical Trust (MHT) is hosting four webinar events—two General Overview sessions and two Q&A sessions—as well as two in-person workshop events in December, January, and February for prospective applicants of the Historic Preservation Capital Grant Program. This competitive funding program provides grants for construction projects on buildings or structures listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places.
It is highly recommended that you attend a General Overview Webinar, In-Person Workshop, or Q&A Session as you will have the opportunity to ask questions and speak directly to MHT grants staff and discuss the specifics of your project. Webinar and workshop attendance is free, but registration is required. For information about the grant program, a full list of dates, and details on how to register visit the Historic Preservation Capital Grant Program webpage.

During the General Overview Webinars and In-Person Workshops, you will learn about: the eligibility of applicant organizations, properties, and projects; documentation required for the application; selection criteria; easement requirements; and more. You will also have the chance to go over your specific project with MHT grants staff, who can answer any questions you might have.

The prior webinars include information about easements, match requirements, specifics for religious sites, and recommendations on how to best answer application questions.
