Hogshead Living History: Fashioning Freedom

Join living historian Nastassia Parker as she delves into the social significance of clothing in the 1800s.

Examine replica garments and discover what fashion plates, accessories, and newspaper advertisements revealed about socioeconomic position. Learn how enslaved individuals used clothing to aid in their quest for personal freedom in the North.

Advance registration recommended, but not required. Accessing this program requires ascending a flight of stairs.
